The LYNX Forum has become a vibrant platform for roundtable discussions on economic policy topics in Egypt, further enhancing the dialogue between the GoE, the private sector, and Egypt’s development partners on key national initiatives.

Focusing on topics related to investment regulations, taxation, customs, manufacturing, environment, food safety, digital transformation, energy and SME banking, among others, LYNX’s policy debates enable government and non-government stakeholders to conduct constructive, interactive engagement to highlight possible risks and challenges, enhance mutual understanding of the different stakeholders’ priorities, paving the way for relevant parties to pursue mutually beneficial policy objectives

The LYNX Forum has witnessed the organization of various roundtable discussions, face-to-face and virtually, on public policy related topics, further enhancing the dialogue between the GoE and the private sector on key national initiatives. Examples of topics tackled during these discussions include assessing the Advance Cargo Information System, assessing the e-invoice and e-receipt projects, addressing Egypt’s food safety priorities, introducing the GoE’s real estate wealth inventory and management project, creating an enabling environment for green bonds in Egypt (in collaboration with the Financial Regulatory Authority), assessing the way forward for SME banking in Egypt, analyzing Egypt’s monetary policy moving forward, assessing Egypt’s evolving data governance framework, highlighting the opportunities and challenges facing Egypt’s automotive industry, accelerating a transition to new energy vehicles in Egypt, and assessing the implications of the European Commission’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) on Egyptian exports.
